Building a permanent community centre where nutrition, learning, and care come together — for the children of Bela Bahadurpur.
To build a future where every child in the village has access to nutritious food, quality healthcare, and meaningful learning — empowering them to live with dignity, joy, opportunity, and hope.
To establish a village-level community centre that brings nutrition, education, and primary healthcare under one roof — built in genuine partnership with the community itself.
Our community centre is built around Muskaan Pustakalay — a village library open six days a week, with around 500 books, 10 computers, and Wi-Fi. It's usually the first door a child walks through: to borrow a book, use a computer, join a class, or just find a quiet place to sit and read.
Everything else we do — the daily meal, the teaching, the health check-ups — happens around that same room, so a child never has to go looking for help in five different places. A library is also easy to trust: parents already understand what it's for, and a child can walk in for one reason and discover three more. It has become the front door to everything else we offer.
NUMK Care Foundation, through Navuday Muskaan, works at the grassroots in Village Bela Bahadurpur, Sitamarhi. We believe lasting change cannot be imposed from outside — it must be built with the people it serves.
"Navuday" means a new dawn. "Muskaan" means a smile. One child, one smile, one new dawn at a time.
